ok,
the 325 uses 2 cells, so the run time is not that great.
so many (me) take 2 extras in a pocket when going out.
keys in one pocket, batteries in the other.
there are no real 'best' as everyone has an opinion.
no, you can't hurt the radio with any AA's, they are basically the same.
the ones you posted look like the ones it comes with, so no problem.
Oh Ok so it does come with rechargable batteies? i didn't see that anywhere

it's a small scanner and i was reading up on the run time and i seen that u can get 8 to 12 hours on a full charge. is that true or just a bunch of BS
?

there are two kinds of systems,
trunked and conventional.
with trunked the computer in the radio always runs, so it drains the batteries a bit quicker.
with conventional (regular radio) the computer does now have to do much, so the batteries last longer.
there is a battery save circuit, BUT that only works if you are holkdng on one conventional frequency.
so don't let the name fool you .

FTM: Battery Option these settings allow you to turn the battery save option on or off.
The scanner turns off power for 1 second and turns it on for 300 ms when you monitor a channel/frequency that has no activity for more than a minute

my county is trunked and some times it is dead in 4 hours.
when listening to other stuff, i am out all day and (6+hours) and it is still good.

I've used all eneloops in my 436 without issue. Also I use a smaller 4 cell Panasonic charger charges 1-4 at a time and haven't had issues.
