I have downloaded the Uniden software to install new systems, but I have only been able to enter the default ones. My question is I have saved my local agencies but when I go to write them in they are not in the list on the right. Can someone give me some advise to what I am doing wrong?

Create a configuration, add the systems you want to that configuration (the Systems tab), then write that configuration to the scanner.

Click on Data base
click you system then edit
click system box and then highlight your file on the right and
click on the box Add from Database

You're a little vague on some points. They are not 'in the list on the right' meaning the System Database list? If that's what you mean, where did you save them? You have to save them in the system folder (look in the SETUP menu under OPTIONS, then click the DATABASE tab to see your system folder).

If by 'in the list on the right' you mean in the WRITE screen, Paul's answer applies.

Also make sure you enter the registration code or the SW will only write the DEMO system names and nothing else if that's what you mean by "enter the default ones".

Yeah should have proof read. My question is I am able to put my local agencies in the data base but when it comes to writing them they are no where to be found on the page where you check and un check systems.

dchrismon,
Once you've created a system for one or more local agency, you're only half way there.
To be able to write it to the scanner when downloading, you also have to add it to a configuration.
Looking at the database tab on the UASD software, the left pane is the configuration list. Hilight the one you are using & select the "Edit" button" (you can also just 'double-click' it).
That brings up the Configuration Editor.
Select the Systems tab.
The left side window is a list of all systems included in the current configuration.
The right side window is a list of all systems that you have in your UASD Systems folder on the pc.
If you've created a new system, it will show on the right, but will not, yet, be on the left side. To add it to the list, just highlight it with the mouse, then hit the button marked "Add from Database".
Simialry, you can use the 'remove' button to delete systems from the configuration. Deleting them here does not delete them from the pc. And they won't be deleted from the scanner until the next time you use the software to download a configuration & have it clear the memory first.
The "Delete non-existent" button deletes those systems in the configuration that no longer exist in the database file. That could be because you have renamed them, moved them to an archive folder to reduce clutter (like I did with the preloaded systems), or deleted them because they were no longer valid.
