BCD436 dimensions

My search for a protective case for my 436 has led me to look at a Pelican 1050. The longest inside dimension is 6.31" and the manual for the 436 says it is 6.3" tall. Does anyone know if that includes the antenna connector?

I realize that I can answer this question myself at home with a ruler but I am at work, at a university, and our bookstore has the pelican case. Having an answer to this question today will determine whether I pick one up before I leave, get it tomorrow or keep looking for something suitable.

Page 8 of the manual shows pictures of the unit, and lists an SMA/BNC adapter as an included item. It appears that the scanner's antenna screws into the radio itself, that there is not a BNC connector protruding from the radio. The tallest point on the antenna-less radio appears to be the volume knob. Please check page 8 for more details.

Thanks, I forgot about the volume knob. I looked at the manual and while the dimensions should include the knob, that is not explicitly stated. I might have to take out a ruler and measure it myself just to be sure.

6.75" with the sma to bnc adapter installed and 6.656" without.

I just measured my unit.

Thanks so much, you saved me some time and the hassle of buying and returning a case that doesn't fit. Apparently the dimensions in the manual do not include the knob.
