Bcd536 backlight problem

My bcd536 has this problem:. The backlight stays on no matter what setting I use. I prefer to set it as. Squelch 10 seconds but after the transmission ends the backlight stays on. It stays on with any setting. Has anyone had this problem or can advise me on it. Thanks

Is "Set Dimmer" set to "Off"?
