XTS QCII reset time

i managed to get a channel set up that monitors NWS on my VHF XTS and it was well tested today with all my other weather radios... my scanner resets after 1min... my Midland weather radio resets after 4min... my XTS does not reset... i let it sit for an hour, and the squelch was still open.

i went in to the QCII Advanced settings, Sel-Call/In-Call reset is set to 'Auto'... which (if I'm understanding correctly) should have it reset at whatever time in seconds i have set below (Auto Reset Time)... which i set for 20sec... (default is 5sec).

while there is an option for it to only reset when the carrier drops (Auto w/Carrier), i made a point to change it to 'Auto' - which, if i'm reading the help correctly, means it should 'Auto' reset after however many seconds i define, but it does not until i change the channel then go back... i would like the warning, but i don't want it to last forever.

have any of you messed with this and had this problem... and know of a solution?

Funny enough I've been having the same exact issue. I think that constant receiving might be to blame to an extent here.

I think it would be great for the portable to unmute for 20 to 30 ish seconds, then mute and play the 4 tone beep every few seconds after that until the radio is attended to.

*Pro tip, I find it very helpful to turn off the busy light for the NWS channels. I just find it annoying to be constantly blinking.


**EDIT: I think I struck gold. I forgot about "Limited Patience" right below the "Auto Reset Time" In "Advanced". This sets the time in seconds that the radio waits for traffic to clear before muting. Since there is constantly traffic, I'll set this to 1 Second and see what happens.
