I'm going to piggy pack on this thread here since it has been helpful so far and take it a step further to ask...

Can you setup ProScan to be able to remotely go to different scanners? I guess it would be done using different ports? Say, port 5000 is scanner 1, port 5001 could be scanner 2, etc.? Will that work? Different instances of ProScan must be running on the host computer, each setup with the different ports, is how it is accomplished, I guess?

Great program with many useful features. If this is covered in the guide that NYRHKY94 created and linked to then I apologize; I haven't had a chance to look at it yet.

Hi Mark:

Yes, you can indeed listen to and remotely control more than one Uniden scanner using multiple instances of ProScan. While this is not covered in my guide, as noted in your comments above you would forward each scanner instance to a different port and use a different sound input. I just tested this with a BCD536HP using wireless streaming for audio & data and a BCT15X connected via an audio cable to the sound card line-in on the same PC. Data from the BCT15X is sent by the serial programming cable connected to USB on the PC. I chose the RSOIP configuration in ProScan.

I successfully connected to both scanners remotely using separate instances of ProScan running on a client-side PC. Worked as expected (audio & remote control). Hope this is helpful.
