I just bought a new BCD 996P2 off of Amazon. I did the firmware update. The issue I'm having is when I program in the frequencies for the Whitby tower on the LMRN system, there's no audio and different voice channels show on the screen. The band plan is set to the one shown on RR database.
The frequencies listed are :
142.0500 vc 142.2300 cc 142.3350 vc , 142.4250 vc , 142.8300 cc

When the scanner locks onto the MTO ID number, these are the voice frequencies that show with no audio :
148.0950 , 148.1025 , 148.8450 , 148.8525
I've programmed the scanner using the ARC XT PRO,FREESCAN and manually. I've also tried changing settings. Still there is no change. Any suggestions? Thanks

I have left the band plan open this time. When I scan again, the band plan shows only 1 frequency .
Select Plan 0 : 851.06250 / 6.25 with no other frequencies applied.

Band Plan 6: 136.00500/7.50
Band Plan 7: 136.00500/7.50
Band Plan 8: --------/----
Band Plan 9: --------/----

I'm having trouble with my SDS 100 it will not receive MTO. The scanner will not stop on talkgroups
It displays the control channel but the voice channel is way off am I missing something.

My BCD 536HP, BCD 325P2 and BCD 996P2 all work fine, but my SDS100 is not.

I have the same problem with my 436 and SDS 200 with the Brantford tower . I have manually entered the band plan as above, and still no voice.
The voice channels that pop up are not the voice channels of the system.
Could the band plan be incorrect?

Could the band plan be incorrect?

I obtained the Band Plan from DSDPlus FastLane for the database. This is what is transmitted:

Network: BEE00.AD9 ; LMRN

Bandplan #0: Base=136.005 Offset=-4.02 Spacing=7.5 BW=12.5
Bandplan #1: Base=136.005 Offset=-4.02 Spacing=7.5 BW=12.5 Slots=2
Bandplan #2: Base=136.005 Offset=-4.05 Spacing=7.5 BW=12.5
Bandplan #3: Base=136.005 Offset=-4.05 Spacing=7.5 BW=12.5 Slots=2
Bandplan #4: Base=136.005 Offset=-2.235 Spacing=7.5 BW=12.5
Bandplan #5: Base=136.005 Offset=-2.235 Spacing=7.5 BW=12.5 Slots=2
Bandplan #6: Base=136.005 Offset=-2.145 Spacing=7.5 BW=12.5
Bandplan #7: Base=136.005 Offset=-2.145 Spacing=7.5 BW=12.5 Slots=2
Bandplan #12: Base=769. Offset=+30 Spacing=6.25 BW=12.5
Bandplan #13: Base=769. Offset=+30 Spacing=6.25 BW=12.5 Slots=2
Bandplan #14: Base=851.0625 Offset=-45 Spacing=6.25 BW=12.5
Bandplan #15: Base=851.0625 Offset=-45 Spacing=6.25 BW=12.5 Slots=2

Can you give examples of the incorrect voice channels you are seeing? In post#1, those frequencies he receives are +6.00 MHz.
Are the site NAC's correct for the site(s) being monitored?
Voice channels should populate dynamically when you have a good signal for the control channel.

Here are examples of voice channels that are appearing:
148.0050
150.7950
148.0125
150.8025

I have the NAC correct for the site, and receive a very good signal as I'm only a couple of KM from the tower site.

Thanks

For my BCD 536HP, in Sentinel programming, I just checked and everything is zeros in the Band Plan, on every single site. Decide if you want to wipe out everything in the Band Plan. On the BCD 325P2, the Band Plan is like I listed it in post #4.

I don't know if the 536 is similar to the 436 and 200 in Sentinel programming. I don't use the 536 much anymore, I use DSDPlus FastLane 99% of the time.

mciupa's info for the band plan is correct.

Those voice freq look wrong. Every active site in southern has everything in the 141-144 area.

I checked my info for site 37 Whitby. The frequencies in post 1 are correct. FYI I could use a verification as the last update I have for the site is from 2024/09/20. C&P of the site info from DSD.p25data would be perfect.

It sounds like when the SDS100 scanner is processing the go to frequency incorrectly. Are you using the latest FW update for the SDS100? Because the scanner mutes the ENC you may have troubles seeing if its doing this for all TGs or just certain ones.

here are the settings I am using

and

These captures are from Butel ARC536 software. I find it a little more flexable when editing system information.

Try putting the bandplan in manually Andy, give that a go. Worked for me on my 325P2

these are my Sentinel settings

You may want to change the ID search to "on" until you get MTO working.

I think your issue is that your are not on P25X2

If you haven't already tried it, enter the system manually using the scanner's keypad instead of Sentinel. Create a new Favourites list with Location Control off, enter in only the control channel for the local site, set ID Search to On and enter a blank department and channel.

I entered the system manually, as you mentioned. I did everything but enter the band plan? Should I populate these values or see if they will auto populate?

It should auto poulate. The P25X2 setting is critical. The scanner uses this to decode the proper bandplan settings.

I have been following this string with great interest.
I have both the SDS100 and SDS200 and both are silent on the LMRN. I am in Barrie Ontario so Edgar is my nearest tower site and NADA from both radios. I receive all other available local traffic even traffic from the private King City tower(s) etc. and the available York Region system. Not a peep out either the two SDS radios over the weekend, even after manually installing the Band Plan to all local tower sites as recommended in this string.

I do seem to recall traffic last winter, so what has changed? I also have a Uniden UBCD 3600XLT, the UK version of the 436. It does seem to pick up some traffic from Edgar, I saw and heard Coldwater plows on Saturday afternoon while mobile in north Barrie. I also heard the Toronto tower today while travelling the GTA for work. Is this a firmware change or a change at the towers?
