I've constantly been trying to get the best audio levels with the bct15x on my feed, i cant seem to get the hum out of the system and trying to figure out the best settings on proscan and for the scanner to get the best audio for the listeners

You may need a ground loop isolator.

I use these.

I'm guessing it is in your setup and if it isn't cured by a ground loop isolator, then maybe a bad/noisy power supply or some other source of RFI in your environment.

I'm hearing a hum when squelch isn't open ... sometimes. And other times not.

You could try an equalizer app and attempt to filter out the low frequencies, but I don't know how well that would work.

Yes, I looked in the RadioFeed program from ProScan and in Audio Monitor & Test it has a Notch Filter setting that are used to remove a certain frequency like a CTCSS tone that are above 200Hz and are difficult to get rid off in a scanner. But listening to the feed it is no worse than other feeds but would of course be better if the CTCSS tone could be attenuated a bit more.

Maybe my speaker has better low end response, but it's annoying loud for me.
