Hi folks,
I’m hoping someone can clarify a Bell Fleetnet question for me. According to the database here Zone 1 uses both analog and digital APCO 25 type transmissions. Does this mean that I have to setup two different systems on my BCD396T to monitor all OPP transmissions (in the Waterloo region)? There doesn’t seem to be an indication as to which trunk system is analog and which one is APCO 25. Thanks for your help.

No you can set up one system (in your case; create a file to listen to Cedarwoods) and listen to both digital (OPP, MTO Enforcment, Secret service stuff when they forgit to encrypt) and MOH & MTO which are analog. It was designed to accomidate both kinds of trasmissions and you can set it up that way also.

Analog and digital co-exist on the same system. Think of it as analog system with digital talkgroups for some users (OPP). this is unlike the pure P25 that are all digital)


When you program it put in the OPP As well as the MTO enforcement (if your interested in all P25 talkgroups).
