During the last couple of weeks in August and the beginning of September, Police Dispatch [155.010] was using the Fire and First Aid frequency of 155.8650. Anyone know what is going on there?
This is not true - Occasionally you'll hear the fire inspectors or maybe you are hearing 57 or 58 - which could sound like LEO's from time to time. I can confirm it from people that work there and listening to them every day locally. Nothing is irregular in Belmar.
Hi Cash - no these were not fire inspectors - these were police stops and other police business. These occurred over several weeks as monitored from the beach. I will be down there again next week and will see what they are using. Have you heard any action on 155.010?
Please note specific time and date and I can go back and look through all of the recordings. Maybe I can help find an answer for ya. Also you could have been hearing something ducting in if this was mid-summer.
Cash - I have no logs - was on the beach over several weekends at the end of August. I have to be in town - probably next Monday and I will monitor again while there - but again not much action after Labor Day
I have not noted anything different on any the Belmar VHF freqs as of late, as I have a secondary home there. I heard regular, route Law Enforcement traffic on 155.0100 DCS 152 earlier today.
Hi all. I live in Belmar & monitor most of the time. Nothing new to report here. Fyi I believe that a housing maintenance dept. in the Asbury Park area is on the same frequency as Belmar EMS/FD with a different Pl. That's all I got. As always happy monitoring. God Bless and all the best. 73's

You are likely hearing activity from either Long Branch, Pleasantville or Absecon all of which are licensed on the FCC ULS Database on 155.8650 Mhz. Asbury Park is not listed in the in the FCC Database as having a License. All you have to do is a search in the FCC ULS Database in order to confirm this as I did. Another possibility is that you are hearing strong overload intermod from another local frequency nearby.
Long Branch housing authority use's it, with a good signal. Different pl's. IMHO, what you most likely heard, was them switch frequencies temporarily. I do know Allenhust pd does this from time to time. Because of interference on their primary pd frequency.
