Ok Erik, and I read through the latest threads. I bought my new-in-the 106 right after Hurricane Irene tore up up the east coast. The associate store's price then was the same $299 now touted in this thread. Thus my confusion about a so-called sale. But then I confuse easily... heh.

If you have the 106, I was in the local Shack a month or so ago and they had one of the discontinued (20-047) cables left, I picked it up for a spare for $17.95. Maybe you can still find one out there.
