7225 will most likely be Burnet Fire/EMS North, which is primarily Burnet Fire.

Blanco County is officially transitioning to GATRRS on March 24 at 9 AM. Blanco North/South VHF being patched to BL FD/EMS 2 talk group (7089) until then. Fire/EMS paging patched to BL FD/EMS 1 talk group until then. I'll be monitoring the system more and hope to have more information soon.

I actually was gonna come post an update today. They are waiting for the fire depts to get their radios. JCPD has the units mounted and were programing the handhelds yesterday and again this morning. I will try and monitor as well.

I would suspect that you will hear several new talk groups go active on Monday. All law enforcement agencies will still be dispatched on BL SO DSP 1, though. And on Monday, all Blanco County fire and EMS agencies will be dispatched and conduct routine traffic on BL FD/EMS 1.

FYI, Blanco FD/EMS 1 TG is 7088. Already submitted it as well. Will tag more as I'm able.

ok. So I was missing a control channel. It isn't listed under Blanco County on GATRRS. 152.6975. And 7072 looks to be the bl so dsp1.

tower/sites

I know it only shows 3 sites for Blanco County, but I think there are actually 4. There is the one in Round Mountain off of 962 east. One they recently installed next to the new law enforcement center. The one south of Johnson City at "mountain" top. Then the one in Blanco on the south east side of town.

So did they decomission the one at mountain top or is the new tower at the s.o. just a repeater/relay?

I don't have that information accessible. I just know from our training material that there are 3 towers in county.

If it helps any for monitoring purposes, here are how the call numbers on the radio work.
100s -- Blanco County SO
200s -- Blanco PD
300s -- North Blanco County EMS personnel
400s -- Johnson City PD
500s -- Johnson City VFD personnel
600s -- Round Mountain VFD personnel
800s -- Blanco VFD personnel
Medic 21-23 -- Blanco EMS
Medic 31-33 -- North Blanco County EMS

Also, there will be a talk group for both Blanco ISD and Johnson City ISD.

thanks. I have that info. I have been listening them for so long over the years, that I recognize them by the sound of their voices It's looking like 152.6975 will be the main control channel for the s.o. dispatch. 7088 is for sure the ems/fire page for the county.

7088 is Fire/EMS 1. It's NOT the page channel. EMS/Fire pages are repeated on Fire/EMS 1, though. There's a separate talk group that's just the page,

oh ok. Well I heard the page on the analog channel then it came through on 7088 as well. When medic 31 checked out at Seton Highland Lakes I was able to actually hear them tell dispatch. That is a first. Think when they start using the other talkgroups and stuff it will be great.

Yes. The page is being put out on the page/alert talk group AND BL FD/EMS 1 both. And probably still the analog channel too. It's going to sound even better WITHOUT the VHF analog.
