Blips while scanning

Good morning!

Doing some scanning and there is somthing just not right. It's painfully slow because it stops on what I'll call blips every few channels. Circled in the waterfall in the pic shown below.



If I pause the scan, there is nothing there ever there.
It's a little all over the map. No matter how much I play withthe settings, I can't get away from it.

Not sure what info you may need to help diag but I'm open to suggestions.
My main fun is scanning and discovering what is out there being so new to this so I would appreciate any possible suggestions.

could be RFI. If multiple blips are showing up all over your waterfall, all at the same time, and for the same duration..could be sporadic local interference that your SDR is catching.

I was thinking it was just RFI but only while scanning.
Wouldn't RFI be present when I stop the scan?

Playing around with it today I decided to give Frequenty Scanner/Manager a shot.
It doesn't do the blips and is fast.
I do like the browes but I wish there was a way to filter out the ingored and view only the remaining.
I view only the ingored (bad) but not just the good. Unless I'm missing something?

There are a few VHF commercial channels in my area that "blip" like that every few seconds when they are otherwise idle. I don't know why, though.

In this instance, if I stopped on the frequency that the blip occurred, there was nothing at all on the channel.

Using a different scanner plugging without issue I deducted that its either a plugging issue or dongle limitation.
