Don't know if it's related or not, but there was a pursuit on I-70 and a drug dealer was busted as a result.

Update: First in units advise there may have been a small fire put out by employees prior to FD arrival.

ERT units were working a standoff in Vermillion County that night...possible what you heard, units heading back to Indy...it had finished up around that time...SP negotiators talked the man out

Did you mean US 231 and S.R.28? I saw it sitting there at about 4:30pm today, coming home from work I got behind an Ambulance out of Tippecanoe county and when I got to 231 and 28 the helo was sitting there but was like transferring a patient (it appeared). So I proceeded on South and past an Ambulance from Montgomery county entering Romney (231 & 28) and it had lights and sirens running, something a bit strange because the Fire Chiefs car followed the Ambulance out of Crawfordsville. Not sure of all the excitement but for sure a bit of excitement as the landing zone the helo was in wasn't much bigger than the clearance of the propellers.

He probably meant 231. The intersection of 213 and 28 would be in Tipton County.

Yeah,it was 231 and 28 at romney in tipp co.Copter had mechanical problems.They were transporting a cardiac male to St E. hospital.No injuries were reported.That was on the scanner.It made the 5 o'clock news on TV 18.The J&C website didn't know where they came from or was going to.Thank goodness there were no injuries.

Did you here why the Crawfordsville Fire dept. Ambulance and Chief Car was en route to that location? Just struck me a little odd that they would request a medic from 20 miles away, unless it is SOP to start any avail. in closest proximity if mech. problems are called out on any air ambulance or any aircraft for that matter.

That doesn't make scence to me either.You could be right though.The call over the radio stated clearly there was no fire or injuries.Aw well;best to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.And the nurse on that flight went with the pt. to the hospital. ?Randalph Fire? was called to the scene.The TGID was for Shadeland FD.Unless these two are set up like BG FD and BuckCreek; on the same TGID.
