After testing almost a month, I've decided that Proscan is the BEST solution for remote monitoring!

My Brevard County, Florida feed is now online full time. NOTE: 800MHZ Rebanding will be taking place VERY VERY soon in this area - feed may go down for reprogramming once I know the new frequencies!

I will make every effort to keep it online 24/7, but, there will be times where I am doing things on the server machine that will require me to take it offline.

The feed scanner is a Uniden BC785D and is located in Merritt Island, FL.
The feed is monitoring the Brevard County, FL EDACS trunked radio system and is within range of the Rockledge, FL tower which is located at the Brevard County EOC.

The feed is available at :
Name: scanbrevard.dyndns.org
Port: 443

My contact info:

Email: ScanBrevard@Gmail.com (this is forwarded to my normal email address - responses will be labeled as being from Jonathon Whipple)
AOL IM: ScanBrevard (usually online during work days)

Currently the feed has the following Law Enforcement agencies:
Brevard County Sheriff's Department
Cocoa Police Department
Rockledge Police Department
Melbourne Police Department
Palm Bay Police Department
Various Beach-side police departments
West Melbourne/Melbourne Village/Melbourne Beach (Listed as Melbourne Annexes)
All county-wide usage talkgroups.

Currently unaccessable from my location:
Titusville PD

In the future I may setup a feed for fire/EMS talkgroups.

Since I am local to where the shuttle launches, I will tune the feed to a local ham radio repeater that rebroadcasts NASA Select so that the shuttle launch countdown can be heard.

Any feedback is always appreciated - don't hesitate to IM or email me!

Enjoy!

Jon - If you can get the APCO-25 at CCAFS and KSC, would like to talk with you. I used to stream it during launches and landings, but now living out or Radio range.

Also take a look at http://scanbrevard.com when you get a chance.

Tom,

I'm betting that I am within range to be able to pick up the traffic without a problem, but I don't have the APCO-25 card in my scanner!

If anyone has one that they can loan me to put into this scanner, I'll be more than happy to add it to the stream!

As far as the domain goes - I'd love to be able to do that - but right now funds are exceptionally tight due to some family/personal issues.
