Woke up about 8 years ago to a call that the old wooden truss 106th street north bridge (which was still being driven on) was on fire. Arrived to find the creasote soaked timber was burning like coal, so hot it just turned our water to steam. Took us about 2 hours and 15 gallons of foam to get it out. They have since replaced the bridge floor with steel grating.
