ACRES BURNED: Approximately 15,000

STRUCTURES BURNED: Two outbuildings damaged and one destroyed in Hicks Canyon

REPORTED INJURIES: Four minor injuries to personnel on the fire

EVACUATIONS: A mandatory evacuation is in place for Santiago Canyon and Hangman Tree Road (Thomas Brothers page 832 D6). Voluntary evacuations in the foothill areas of Lake Forest including Foothill Ranch and Portola Hills. Immediate threat to 2,000 structures. Evacuees can go to El Toro High School at 25255 Toledo Way.

Monterey county sent another strike team down south.

Clark County Fire, Nevada (Las Vegas) is assembling a strike team to send to CA. Unfortunately looking at the resource list for Nevada state and NV based FS/BLM units, the seasonal units are already done for the season. Nevada Div. of Forestry should be able to send some hand crews and a strike team or two. Washoe County (Reno) will also be able to send units.
