Yea I didn't think ghz was prone to skip being is above the MUF and shouldnt have been bent back. But being new to the hobby it was pretty funny to see.

I am having an issue with SBSplotter tho.. Have let it run since about midday yesterday and am not seeing anything, ip is set to the loopback address 127.0.0.1, port is 30003, have also tried 31001 being where the dongle is, and I am not seeing any messages nor any plots ? In the above screenshot I noticed the bgav has his set to port 31004 but was not able to see anything there as well. Anyone have any recommendations ?

Have the following running, RTL1090, Virtual Radar w/ the DBWriter plugin, SBSPopulate1..

I just wanted to thank you guys for this thread. I just purchased a dongle and am going to give it a shot myself. I have a lot of computer parts milling around, so hopefully in the distant future I can make a stand alone box. Until then, I'll be running it on my main computer. At any rate, thanks again for the info in this thread.

Ok, now what

OK,

I am a bit stuck and could use some help...

I have successfully installed my dongle, rtl1090, and PlanePlotter.

PlanePlotter is communicating properly with rlo1090, and I see the overhead planes on my "map".

The issue I am having is:

1. When I click on "map" or "Satellite" in PlanePlotter, nothing downloads. I am stuck looking at the planes on the "global" default map. Any suggestions on how to get this function to work?

I can provide additional information if needed, please let me know.

Thanks for your help, I can't wait to get this going 100%!
