Hi all.

I've had a BCT-8 for a number of years now. When I initially programmed it (by hand) I entered a bunch of business frequencies that I found on this site into the scanner. I enjoy listening to them the most.

I recently upgraded to a newer unit that has alpha tagging and allows me to import frequencies directly from my PC. When I went to search for those business frequencies I noticed there were only a couple for my local area in the database.

I still use the BCT-8 multiple times a week and know the frequencies are still active.

Is there a place on the site that I'm missing where these would be listed?

Does anyone have any of the old frequency listings?

I'm in Knox county if that helps.

Thanks!

Yes I saw those, thanks.

I'm still getting activity on a number of different frequencies that are associated with other business that were listed here in the past but aren't any longer.

I'm looking for those.

Mostly construction companies, Dragon cement etc.

Most construction companies use phones more than anything, dragon is limited operation.

I've been listening to George C. Hall on 451.9500 most of the afternoon.

JBI has radios as well I just haven't figured out which frequency on my old radio it is yet.

Why were the old listings removed from the database if they're still active?

Possibly, but I distinctly remember them being associated with specific business's when I originally entered them into the BCT-8.

You're probably right anyway that most have moved on to cell.

I appreciate the replies.

Ahh thanks.

FYI there are thousands of businesses Not found or never reported
As you find them and confirm the PL/DPL, make a submission, that is the only way to get them into the DB

There are other sources, but they ALSO rely on member contributions.
Maine Business Radio Systems - Scan New England Wiki
Maine Malls and Shopping Centers - Scan New England Wiki

However, many folks WANT, but never contribute or share confirmed information

Why aren't some of those active frequencies included in the database?
That's just FCC license data. Nobody knows their actual use or if they are really active. The database is only supposed to contain confirmed data submitted by members.

Awesome.

I confirmed and submitted the George Hall frequency myself.

Both are quite active throughout the day and very entertaining if you live in Knox County.
