I have a question about Caltrans tuning for San Diego County. The RR trunking list for Caltrans is very large. Do I have to enter multiple tower control freq's and group Caltrans in separate lists or can I enter all the necessary towers in one TSYS? Does anyone know what the right towers are? I use the north tower for north county and the south tower for south of the sr-52 but which ones do I use for the inland and mountain regions? Any advise scanner dudes? Thanks.

The majority of CT talkgroups are system wide; if a CT unit in a particular cell is listening to that talkgroup, it will be carried on that cell.

The 'area' talkgroups (like CTCOASTN, CTCOASTS, or CTINLANDS) will only be carried in that area (North, South, East/Northeast, or Imperial), If there is no unit active on that talkgroup, it will not be carried on the system.

You will need to enter each cell's control channels to receive that cell.
