Doeas anyone know why I receive talk from here (Waterloo Region) all the way to Toronto on talkgroup Cambridge 5Echo. I would just like to here communication for just OPP in Waterloo Region. Is there a better talkgroup I should be listening to? I here cars on Mavis, 401, 410, 427 as well as things going on around here but would like to cut out the beyond KW/Camb stuff

I believe Cambridge is usually patched with Port Credit.

Unfortunately, there's nothing you can do about it.

Mike is absolutely correct. They are patched and you just have to live with it.

Does anyone have a breakdown on the zones for Cambridge. Where does 5Echo 10x, 5Echo 20x etc operate?

Thanks, Ralph VE3EUK

It isn't a matter of cutting back on dispatchers -- although that IS part of the grand plan. Heck, I remember hearing Niagara being dispatched by the Burlington comm center. Then they moved out of Burlington and up to Aurora. Geeze, just think of all the small PCC's that closed down... Mt Forest, Burlington, Belleville, Chatham...I can't recall any others, but I know there's a LOT more.
