Hello,

Looks like your Base Frequency should be 141.015, this is separate from the control channel frequency of 142.095...

Thanks Paul, but I must be missing something else too.

What does CT: 105.88 mean? I never put that in anywhere? I thought it might be a CTCSS Tone, but it doesn't appear in my list of available tones.

I can tune to 142.8300 and hear the digital signal, 2-3 bars on the FM signal strenghth meter, so I'm pretty sure i'm close enough to pick up the trunk.

Do I need to indicate to the scanner that the channels 401 and 402 are the controll frequencies? Or is that what the Trunk option means, therefore i shouldn't have all four frequencies with the trunk option on.

Any other ideas?

Thanks,
Dave

Admin, I have options for AM, FM, WFM, NFM and AUTO but no option for MOT unless I'm missing something or changing this in. I have tried all these modes and still don't seem to hear anything but the digital static.

I do appreciate your help and patience.

I will be reading the manual again tonight, I must be missing somthing.

:D

Cheers,
Dave

Woo Hoo!

I got it, thanks so much for the help guys!

I really wish I could tell you what my problem was, but I can't.... I removed all references to the trunk in the bank and then programmed the scanner blank. I then reentered all the info again, wrote the bank back to the scanner and presto... I am now scanning the Trunk!

 Thanks  again  for  everyones  help

I can see one problem with your setup - Donot set a trunked freq as PRI. The radio will keep trying that freq.

Hi seamusg,

That makes sense, and i will change it, but i'm not sure that was my problem as I still have it set. The channel that is set as PRI is the alternate control frequency and I do not hear the digital static on it when there is no transmittion.

I have looked over the screen shot above and what I have setup now three times.... I still can't see anything different... Chalk one up for learning!

Cheers, Dave
