The soft leather case from the bcd436 works fine

I have a soft leather case for the 346 and it does not fit my SDS100. The SDS100 is too thick. You mind posting a link to the 346 soft leather case? I believe I purchased my 346 case from scannermaster.com...though that was four years ago and I'm not certain.

What do you mean by that I thought it was already finalized once it was sold to the public?
No as has been stated in many a thread.

SDS100 fits in 436 carry case

I also have the soft leather case for a 436 from scanner master. My SDS100 slides right in. One note, you have to remove the belt clip nob on the back of the scanner. The nob is held in place with a screw. Just unscrew it.

Here's what is says on the plastic bag the case came in:

I made a direct inquiry to Uniden support to see if Uniden has a carrying case in the works for the SDS100 like the Uniden nylon carrying case model #A2829 that they currently have for their BCD436HP handheld scanner (https://www.bearcatwarehouse.com/accessories/nylon-carrying-case-for-bcd436hp). Here is the response that I received:

Dear valued Uniden customer,

Thank you for your inquiry on a carrying case for the SDS100. Unfortunately, Uniden does not have a carrying case in the works. We have received multiple inquiries on a carrying case and this information has been forwarded to our corporate office. But as of right now, we do not have any information on a carrying case being manufactured for the SDS100. I will make sure your interest is also forwarded to the appropriate department.

Thank you so much for choosing Uniden!!

Can you post a picture with your SDS 100 in the case?

Here's a quick shot. The case is for the BCD436HP, but the SDS100 fits just fine. FYI, 436 is just slightly taller than the SDS100.

Wow, thanks for posting the picture! It looks like the BCD436HP soft leather case is a pretty close fit for the dimensions of the SDS100. It's hard to tell from the picture angle but is there a cutout on the right side of the case that lines up with the 2 USB connectors on the SDS100?

I saw one post where Scanner Master was having one designed, but waiting for final battery spec.

Has Uniden EVER sold cases? Seems they were always 3rd party.

Yes, there are cutouts for the USB ports and the Menu & Function buttons on the other side. They line up perfectly.

Yes Uniden has sold nylon carrying cases for their scanners with each case having a Uniden model/part number. Here's some current links to genuine/original Uniden scanner cases. (The two cases linked to Bearcat Warehouse below clearly show the manufacturer as "Uniden" in the product descriptions.)

Uniden case number A2829 for the BCD436HP: https://www.bearcatwarehouse.com/accessories/nylon-carrying-case-for-bcd436hp

Uniden case number A2827 for the BCD325P2, BC75XLT, BC125AT, BC72XLT, BC95XLT, BC92XLT, BC246 and the SC230: https://www.bearcatwarehouse.com/accessories/nylon-carrying-case-a2827

Uniden case number NC250D for the BC250D and BC296D: https://www.uniden.com/shop/communication/nylon-case/

I have bought hard leather cases for all of my scanners except the newer ones (TRX-1). I am staying on top of this and any other 'sds100 case' threads and following closely, as a hard/soft leather case is a must-have for my future sds100. The case for the 436 looks like it will work with the current battery configuration, but when they come out with extended door and larger battery I wonder about dimensional problems.

phask - I have never bought a case from Uniden and do not remember them ever advertising any. In the past, I have bought most cases from Scannermaster, and a couple from West Mountain Radio. I'm sure once retailers have proper dimension information we will see cases advertised for the sds100. Would be nice if Remtronix would design an 'sds' version sma antenna that would work with this scanner as well.

EDIT: I stand corrected, Uniden does sell cases? Hope they are on the ball with the sds100!
