Castle Rock Police first on scene reporting heavy smoke and flames showing on 725 Wilcox St. Q155, E151, E154, M154, BC151, and DC151 have been toned, E151 first due with heavy smoke from a strip mall structure. I also believe a 2nd alarm has been struck with Larkspur and South Metro requested for aid.

O/F OPS-3 & Online

U/D: Currently offensive and stretching two 2 1/2" lines to the building at this time.

U/D: Confusion for a short time, E151 emergency button was accidentally activated (radio was sent to TG1051 Admin Channel-16). Confirmed accidental and all companies on scene are PAR.

U/D: 20 minutes in as of 21:32, 3rd alarm has been requested by command.

U/D: Command has requested a 3rd alarm and unable to locate the fire. Franktown now added to aiding agencies along with another SMFR Tower.

As Paged

01/04 ~ At 21:05 Castle Rock Firefighters were dispatched to 725 North Wilcox Street for a structure fire. Engine 151 arrived only seconds later and reported heavy smoke showing from the middle unit of a 50 x 100 strip mall. Engine 151 assumed command, established their own water supply across the street and requested the Quint 155 to the alpha side. A 2nd Alarm was transmitted bringing auto aid from Larkspur & South Metro. Command was transferred to Battalion Chief 151 and E151 advanced a 2 1/2 through the alpha side. Engine 154 laid 700′ of 5 inch supply from Jerry Street to the charlie side and advanced a 2 1/2 attack line. Quint 155 laddered the building and went to the roof. Engine 153 hit a third water supply at 7th & Wilcox Street and laid in to the alpha side where an additional 2 1/2 was advanced. Companies pushed in through heavy smoke and coordinated horizontal ventilation with the charlie side. With the temperature at 25 degrees, multiple lines out and extensive overhaul needed, a 3rd Alarm was transmitted for manpower. Once the doors were opened up visibility improved and the fire was quickly knocked down. All searches proved negative and no injuries were reported. All companies were held until around 23:00 when some began picking up.
