Can I vote for DPS :p Sometimes I feel like I'm missing out when the EMS/FIRE ask for 10-200

Go for it Matt, I'm sure there are people out there looking to listen to Rail/Transit Safety. I put them on once in a while to listen to a few kids getting busted for not buying a ticket.

Not to highjack the thread, but have you had much luck in picking up tow trucks around this area?

Never tried to get the tows but i know most of them in Durham are on the Nexedge system... i Had a nexedge radio once and heard a bunch of them on the Mobile Business Communications trunk.

I listen to GO Transit for most of the day as well as the TTC supervisors channel. I Find TTC better as it is always hoppin'

GO Transit of course is most busy at rush hour as during the day it is fairly quiet.

Surprisingly I hardly ever hear GO Security. What I would like to know is what radio the Ticket Checkers use...is that part of "GO Security" as well? I know when I am on the train, sometimes you get a full GO Constable, or a "Provincial Offenses Officer" 2 different job titles.

regards,

Jason

They use Telus Mike System for now but will move over to enforcement soon.

If you're going to stream the TTC, I would suggest streaming only channels 1 and 3. Channel 1 is their "main stand by" channel. Channel 2 is Wheel Trans only. Channel 3 is used as their "secondary" channel, or the channel they use when it hits the fan. Channel 4 is rarely used for voice as it is their in-house paging channel. Channel 5 is used for surface route supervisors - very boring.

As for GO stuff - the GO Bus traffic is GREAT for traffic updates.

680 News traffic on the 1's? How about GO Transit, traffic on the every minute :p

Hello,

I'm new to this site and I have a spare analog scanner that I don't have much use for that I could dedicate to TTC Ch1+3 as I enjoy listening to these channels. I tried to submit a request to stream it but not sure if it was rejected or not as I can't find a trace of it anymore in my account :(
