CHP Southern gets its first Ford Interceptor Utility Vehicle

Just curious if anyone figured out what scanner the CHP is running on their front mobile screen. It's been two years out on patrol now, someone must have some insight.

This site is a really great CHP resource. Per the site, the GRE PSR600 is being replaced by the Uniden BC996 series. Check out the other links on that site too.

Thanks but you can not see the scanner on the web page. I wanted to see a pic of the trunk of radios on the new interceptors . One RR member has access to this kind of details...

I supplied scanner programming to the Oceanside area CHP office. They use BCD996T scanners. I can probably get you a pic of the trunk/shelf (whatever!) if they don't think it too strange or a security breech.

I would love a picture of the displays and rear connections if you could. They must be using Rso-232 out the rear of the 996 to control functions via display in the front....thank for your help Paul.
