The past 2 nights I've noticed that CHP Oceanside/Temecula on 39.800 is coming in pretty bad here in Riverside County. It's only 2-3 bars and is very distorted. Normally it maxes out the meter and is full quieting since it covers my area. Anyone else noticed this? All the other local CHP channels are still coming in perfect.

Try 39.68

CHP was changing Temecula from San Diego's Oceanside area to Riverside.

I have not been to the area since I received this info, but I did add the freq to my scanners.

As if this morning at 0100 hours local time Temecula is still using 39.80R 162.2 Hz. This signal is weaker than normal and all I can guess is that the default primary transmitter location has changed.

Thanks for the feedback. I am happy to report the signal is back to normal.

Heard Temecula units on 39.800 complaining over the weekend about "poor reception on the north end" and asking for the radio techs to be noified. It's been my experience that 39.800 typically booms in on the north side of Palomar mountain.
