they were never 79 @ 299, just 99 queen st. Think a year or 2 before they moved into 299 they were forced to switch to 57

city tv

City was originally at 99 queen and they moved about 15 years ago to 299 queen ( with much music .bravo,
MMmusic, vibe, sex tv , book tv, court tv,

after ctv bought all those channels they had to sell City - so they sold city to rogers and city had to vacate the building 3 months ago and City, Omni, G4 tech, biography and Outdoor life all live happily under the same rogers property at 33 dundas east, south-East corner of Dundas square. the shopping channel is out in mississauga and Sportsnet is at Rogers Headquarters at 1 Mountpleasant

Only Citytv and Omni are at 33 Dundas. G4, Bio and Outdoor are still at 545 Lakeshore along with master control.

City TV was sold to Rogers because Bill Waters died, and his kids where to lazy to run the business, I am sure Bill was rolling in his grave when Chum LTD was sold and especially to CTV. Rogers got City TV because the CRTC would not allow them (CTV) to own City Tv and CTV networks, that's how Mr Rogers stepped in. :D But what pissed off Rogers was they wanted CP24 and CTV wouldn't give it to them, so that's why you will see soon CityNews TV .
