Does anyone know how to hear the coast guard around here in Palm Beach Gardens/W.Palm. I heard about a couple of times that coast would be contacted today on the scanner but do not know how that works in terms of frequencies to set.

Anyone know?

Primarily on channel 16, 21A,22A,23A, 81A,82A,83A, and also marine 6.
You should hear broadcast on 16 and 22A quite often, and should hear Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Palm Beach and Fort Pierce depending on the calls.
On 21,23,and 81-83 you may here some "white noise" accompanied by a "ping at the end of transmission, which means they are encrypting, but its not used heavily.

Also keep in mind that they are a CBP Network (legacy U.S. Customs) subscriber so check those frequencies as well. Although most of the traffic there is for records checks.

Coast Guard comms can also be heard on 123.1 and 345.0 both am mode. Tony

Hear 9 is for the boat to bridge. Hear 16 and 22A around my area. I need to get my scanner scanning all coast guard channels.
