The members are able to listen to certain area without having to monitor the entire system. I was wondering if someone was able to tell me how to program my radio to do that.

Just pick what frequency covers the area of interest. If there are others that are not listed, you are free to submit them.

Yes I have all this info, but when I listen to the 153.710 I can still hear calls in other areas. I know there is a way to program to only hear a certain are of calls but I don’t know how to do it

If I'm understanding you correctly information you are looking for is only available to the person(s) who program the radios for Hatzolah. They have their system set up in a unique way and the inner workings of how its set help is not public knowledge.

So you’re saying that there is no way for me to only be listening to a certain area without monitoring the entire system? I have all the info of the MDC system they use, I can’t program the radio, it will be muted when u want it, but when I want it unmuted it won’t unmute. I believe that I am talking about MDC-1200

I can have the radio muted when the MDC signal is put in properly, but once the dispatch puts out a call with the MDC signal I have programmed, the radio won't unmute. I will see the LED blinking, and I can see the RX status of how well I am receiving the signal, but I won't hear anything unless I hold down the squelch.

I am not very familiar with the HT1250 but I believe MDC group alert only flashes the LED and possibly an alert tone (depending on programming) but I don't believe it unmutes the radio like a pager. If the radio was muted, I believe you have to unmute as you described. I don't have a service manual for the radio. All I can say is to review the radio programming manual or contact a Motorola shop for assistance. This assumes that you do have the correct MDC group alert codes for group you want to monitor and it sounds from your description you have the code programmed and the radio is working as intended.

I have seen in person sometimes, that the members radio will be flashing the LED and no sound is coming out, but sometimes the radio will unmute like a pager without the member having to touch any buttons. I’m not sure if this is a technical issue on my part, or if it is only enabled for members and not allowed to be disclosed to the public

It would be a function of the firmware in the radio and, if unmute is supported by the radio, it would have to be enabled in the programming. So, either your radio does not support the feature or it was not enabled when the radio was programmed. I do not have the programming documentation for the HT1250LS but I believe it may not support it. What radios does Hatzolah use that seem to have that feature?

You need to check the Motorola documentation for your radio, its firmware version, and your programming software version. Both the firmware and the software would need to support the feature if it is an option on that model radio.

I believe they use Motorola HT1250Ls and XPR3500e
So it is probably just a function of the particular radio capability and not something secret. From what I can determine a standard 1250 only alerts but there may be later firmware versions that allow unmute and it may be standard in the XPR radios. In any event, it also depends on the radio programming even if the firmware supports it.

What do you mean by a 1250 only alerts?
They are using MDC1200 and the HT1250 normally responds to a MDC1200 group alert with flashing light and optionally a tone if that feature is programmed. It does not automatically unmute if the radio is muted as I explained in previous posts. MDC alerting works differently than QC paging.

Based off of the explanation you gave I believe they use QCII
QCII is two tone paging that is what is used fire most Fire "tone outs". You were very specific that they use MDC1200. We can't help you if you keep changing your story. If they do use audible "tone out" and that is what you want to decode, that is a totally different situation.
