I'll be taking a trip down to the Naples and Ave Maria area early next year and wonder what monitoring is interesting.
Looking through the database it looks like most public service is encrypted. Any suggestions?

Nearly everything worth scanning is on the Collier County P25 system. Fire and EMS are in the clear but most L.E. is fully encrypted. It’s the Florida standard.

Thanks for that info. I saw both the EDACS system and the P25 system and I wasn't sure which one had the most usage. I'll get that one programmed up prior to the trip.

Yep. You’ll just need the Collier P25 system. Also, just use the Naples Simulcast site.
No need to program the other filler sites.

I will do that. Thanks for the tips.
I'll probably put some Airport frequencies in also.
Believe it or not, up here in CT there is still an EDACS system up and running in Hartford.

Collier’s Edacs system was really nice. But outdated and analog. They are a dying breed.
