Can it do orange like the other non flagship uniden scanners?

No. Options are Blue, Red, Magenta, Green, Cyan, Yellow, or White (source here)

I just went through the background colors on mine.
Blue = Blue but low contrast with the highlighted line
Red & Magenta comes out red
Green & Cyan comes out green
Yellow & White comes out yellow orange

No, single color choices only... no combining.

What gets me is WHY Uniden chose to pick those UGLY and DARK pastel colors with BLACK TEXT!!!!!! There should be option for WHITE TEXT. BLACK text on a DARK background is idiotic. Green and Cyan are the only colors with contrast.
