I am disappointed that unlike the 396XT, my 325 P2 has no per channel colour selection. For the price they should have added it. Maybe someday there be a software upgrade from Uniden to add this feature to a BC-325?

Not sure that will happen UPMan stated about the 996p2 and the 325p2 that they were just about out of firmware memory in those 2 due to adding DMR and NXDN.

Agreed. Very doubtful. Maybe in a future model... Speaking of colored displays, the SDS200 has a nice one! I’m currently trying to find someone who can interface the display on the SDS200 to the Connect Systems BFD. The BFD is a large display that has open source capabilities. It’s currently being used with the Connect Systems CS800D DMR radio. But it can be adapted for a split screen or a quad screen where you can display multiple radio displays. I just want to do a split screen that does the CS800D and add the SDS200. My application is a pickup truck with a center radio console. I I find myself taking my eyes off the road to read the scanner. Getting the display info plugged into the BFD would move it forward and up, not to mention larger.

There is no per-channel color selection because there is only one backlight color: orange.

That's not something firmware is going to 'fix'.
