I know that most of the time the heli will use what ever freq the guys on the ground are on, but it sure seems like comms with/from the heli would be more than what I hear.

I have one 123.025 programmed for the heli.. but cant remember why..

Anyhow I guess my question is, Does the heli stay pretty quite?

The chopper crew only talks on the radio when necessary, and when they do talk, it's only what's necessary.

123.025 is the air-to-air frequency they (and other choppers) use to announce their intentions to other helos in the area.

Thanks, I knew someone around here would know...

Kind of what I figured.. but wasnt sure...

Side note.. Its amazing how low they circle when they are after someone on foot... this time last year some broke into a home 3 down from me and the heli was circling sooo low I think I felt rotor wash! lol
