Coming back to the hobby, again slowly.

Greetings from Burlington County.

I'm slowly but surely reentering the hobby. I need to get up to speed on the newer digital modes, especially P25. I didn't have a need to become familiar with it as our local system went to P25 but it was encrypted. I have somewhere a SMArt Dongle, but haven't been able to find it... On the interim I have coming 2 Dongles, and an up converter. I had the basic SDR and SDR# up and running, previously but never in conjunction with unitrunker or SDtrunker. Hopefully I can figure the scanning and trunking...

I was in it from the 70's until they went to that first 'trunking' system. Got back into it during the covid lockdown and used that stimulus money to update to the new radios. Boy has it changed. along with the county fire/EMS stations since I ran with them in the 70's & 80's. My old hometown used to have 3 fire companies and 2 squads, now it's one & one.
