Was comparing the new Uniden 160 to my Icom R30 on air band. The R30 won on distant contacts. Next, I compared it to the Uniden 325P2 on air band. Pretty much the same. My RS Pro 26 was at my desk and decided to test against the new 160. The Pro 26 did just as good as the 160 on air band. Just because you have an older scanner doesn’t mean it’s junk. Does just as good as new without the bells and whistles on analog.
