I am looking for the control channel frequencies for the Jefferson County TRS. The site has 857.2375 and 860.2375 listed as control channel frequencies. Those are correct but the list is incomplete. The system has capacity for up to 4 control channels and there is at least one other control channel if not two.

Anyone have this information?

Thanks,

-Justin

Justin,

Your scanner should be able to find them within the next three days, maybe even two.

Looking at the data, I'd bet on 858.2375 and 859.2375. And if it's like my city, 856.2375 may very well be used by the system to broadcast the ID every 30 min in CW. Note: if so, this freq would need to be in FM Mode to hear the CW.

Edit: BTW, if you do not hear CW every half hour, then change the freq back to Mot, or you'll be missing traffic.

OK guys. Thanks for the help. I have been listening and have identified 4 channles as having control data traffic 857/858/859/860.2375. I have not heard any control channel activity on 856.2375 yet. I have heard the mobile data on some of the other channels.

I am under the understanding that the Jeff. Co. TRS is a 20 channel Smartnet Trunking system. If that is the case, then the controller can only be programmed for a total of 4 control channels. However, if it happened to be a multi-site SmartNet AMSS system then it could have up to 8 control channels.

Anyone happen to know this bit of technical information?

Now just to figure out which one and keep listening for control channel activity on the other freqs.

Thanks for the help.
