5:36pm 217 North Ave West, Cranford.
Large 2-1/2 story, wood frame, single family.
Report upon arrival of CFD was fire through the windows. "Bravo" side I think.

Roselle Tower, Westfield and Linden Engines.

Cover to Cranford Fire House.
Kenilworth, Garwood Engines and Roselle Park Ladder

5:46pm MAC-2 Report, 2 lines streached and operating, 2nd & 3rd divisons.
5:48pm MAC-2 Report, 3rd line being streached to the 3rd division, still remains "Doubtful".

5:53pm MAC-2 calls for a 3rd Alarm.

MAC-2 CP, MAC-8 Inside and MAC-10 rear of fire bldg. on scene. MAC-3 Fire House cover.

6:18pm 40 min mark,Heavy fire and smoke 3rd division, fire venting through a window.
Roselle tower will hit it when they move another ladder away. Remains doubtful.

They must have evacuated the building while I was cooking dinner, they about to
re-enter it and hit the 3rd division with a master stream.

7:12pm 4th Alarm transmitted, for relief manpower.
Mountainside, Scotch Plains and Fanwood to the scene.
New Providence, Berkley Heights Engines, Elizabeth Ladder to Fire House cover.

7:15pm Outside operations stopped, going inside to try and hit it on the 3rd division from inside.

7:38pm 120 min mark, overhall continues. Cranford on 3rd div and MAid on 2nd division hitting lots of hot spots
on the Delta bedroom. He said overhall, I might have missed them calling it under control, not sure was eatting dinner, sorry.

All over the map.
North Avenue reopened finally at 23:00 after more than 5hrs. The house is toast, suffering heavy fire in the walls, and total structural instability. Fire was agressive and the age of the house, more than 100 years, didn't help. EMS rehab was provided by Cranford, both Garwood rigs, Springfield, and Westfield, with support from County EMS Spec Ops. No major injuries, one firefighter to the hospital.

Unfortuately the house also belonged to a couple members of local emergency services, so this one was taken very personally.
