Tried to find out info on this island. Netherlands has control of this island. Couldn’t find anything. Nice 85 degrees. Thanks. Wasn’t sure if it would get confiscated so that’s why I brought the 160. Wanted to bring the 325P2 but that cost more.

Did some scanning this morning. Found a talk show in English and some stations playing America songs. Police band picked up a few transmissions. I don’t speak Spanish so don’t know what was said. Picked up a few commercial aircraft in air band. Netherlands navy is on constant patrol around the island so will try both mil and naval frequencies. Not sure if it was a frigate or destroyer with a helicopter gun ship on back but it buzzed our beach yesterday.

Not all MIL will show up, but MarineTraffic is a good source to see the AIS

ie: this one passed to the South and West of Curacao

When I arrived here, customs just had us walk through without checking anything. Talk to a worker here that’s from the island to see what he had to say about scanners. Said not legal here. Will be scanning from my room. Wanted to bring it to the beach. Glad I asked. Just a FYI

I took my 125AT with me on my cruise to Curacao in Feb. Brought it solely for the Airport while half or more of the chatter was in Spanish, I did at least know when planes were coming or going as not all were on trackers.
