For the last few weeks, I have only been watching the "Layer 1" site on CC 774.56875. With the exception of infrequent ENC traffic on TGs 30549 and 30550, little to nothing else. No voice detected since the grid testing early this month.

I'm seeing the same pattern, Have one of my scanners parked on the new sites, and virtually nothing on the Dallas Layer 1 site. A lot of activity on Layer 2, and a little activity on the old Dallas Simulcast site in the Dallas P25/NCTCOG system. Logging the activity (or lack thereof) via ProScan.

The word was they were going to roll out local government first then public safety. If all we're seeing currently on LG is convention center and a few PBWT groups I'd bet its going to be a while longer.

Also this Dallas License isn't supposed to be trunked when on the air. It's two channels each for the three DWU facilities in Wood, Hunt & Kaufman counties. They're supposed to be digital just not trunked, I guess a decision change after the license was finalized.

I have noticed that the DFR CH 1 patch to site 1-1 sounds way better than the normal UHF traffic...

As far as I can tell talk groups 30000 to 34999(City Public Safety) on Layer 1, 35000+ on Layer 2(City Public Works and County).

Being that 30549 and 30550 are encrypted it's hard to know that is what those are. I've contradicting information that put those as some general purpose channels. Of course, they could be using those channels, even if they are general purpose.

Was anyone listening to 460.575MHz this morning? That’s DFR’s station alerting channel which has been down for a few days now (it goes down occasionally). A friend of mine was listening from Anna this morning and he heard 660 say something about citywide radios but it was scratchy.

Just adding on, they also use that channel for department wide announcements that they want to broadcast through the station speakers

Oh okay. Thanks. He might have heard wrong. We always joke that he has undiagnosed hearing issues haha.

The announcement I heard was to make sure all their portable radios were accounted for but idk if there was another one that's the only one I heard that day. But it was over the fire response channel, I didn't monitor the 460.575 so not sure if they said it over both.

OH so it sounded like someone with a radio was keying up and pressing button and tapping on the mic and at one point after a box was transmitted someone whispered i started it or something like that. So not long after this idiot was doing this they asked all units to check their radios. So yeah i heard the same thing @Motoballa heard.. but that was yesterday evening.

Caught the tragic Alert 3 yesterday on patched DFR TG 3 on NCTCOG Dallas Site 1-1 and followed the traffic on DFR CH 3 UHF. Obviously, a lot of staff and specialized DFR units responded and I am wondering if anyone can share a current list of DFR "car numbers" ?

In the meantime - I am trying to find an old list now that if I can locate, I'll be happy to post and welcome any updates/corrections/deletions...
