We're gonna group them together as Dallas County Municipalities for now. Then break them out, if necessary, after things settle down a bit. We still have quite a bit to learn.
I think that, "at the end of the day", once every Dallas County city or agency that intends to migrate to NTIRN completes their move, the SWRCC cities should be a separate group, not lumped together with others.

Looking at the Tarrant County side for a pattern, note that there is a specific "Combined Dispatch" category for North Richland Hills, Richland Hills, Haltom City, & Watauga. Those four cities share a set of talkgroups, rather than having their own individual TGIDs. I would think that the SWRCC cities, which also share a specific set of talkgroups, not individual ones, and are dispatched by one common PSAP, should be a specific department..

Now, for the Northeast Tarrant layer, there are also 'combined dispatch' talkgroups for PD & Fire in Colleyville, Keller, Southlake, & Westlake, but there are also separate TGIDs for each city for public safety. Those are all lumped into the Northeast Tarrant group, which also has all the assignments for the other NETCO cities, including the larger ones such as Bedford, Euless, & Grapevine..

Lancaster also, I would think, should also be a separate department. Lancaster's population, over 40K, is more than three times that of Forest Hill, which is a stand=alone department within the Tarrant County cities.

The unknowns, so far, are when (or if) Hutchins & Wilmer switch over. For now, Cockrell Hill is keeping their traffic on the Dallas Simulcast layer of the Dallas P25/NCTCOG system.

Completely agree with you Steve. I have started manually breaking them out using a script. I was hopeful the database would adjusted to accomodate the municipalities individually (although SW Regional will always need to be together I think).

Some time back, I sorted out that huge group of cities & talkgroups in Northeast Tarrant County into individual departments. I've got SWRCC as a separate department, and will break out Lancaster if we see the stragglers (Hutchins & Wilmer) join the party. Splitting those makes more sense to the way I want to monitor those cities, even if the database is structured otherwise.

I get what Russel said, makes sense, dump em all in a pile and sort em out later when the system matures.

I wish I still lived in the Dallas area. I sure would enjoy monitoring this system.
It's just a wish...but would be cool if there was someone who would put a live feed up with T.G's that are found in Dallas county. Just a wish

Are we sure 36009 is Fire Ops 2? I have that in my scanner but few minutes ago heard 2 officers talking about a suspect and following them towards Wilmer. They talked back and forth for about 5 min then one said he was going back to primary and that was SWR PD Disp channel.

Also @kmartin give it some time. I am sure someone will put up feeds once the system users finally transfer over. Im holding off making changes on my feeds till everything settles down.

Hmmm, I might have messed that one up. I double-check later. I have a feeling that they are generic "Ops" channels for both police and fire. I've definitely heard it referred to as "Ops 2".

In the last few days of listening, it appears that DFR is no longer "patching." All units seem to ID as P25 subscribers.

One thing I did hear today: 660 told responding units on a structure fire to go to "Channel 4." These units then checked in (and were cancelled) on TG 32004 which I have listed as "EMS Dispatch 2."

All of the communications have been messed up since the hacking

I heard Cedar Hill Police using 36031 for a bicycle ride this morning. I'm not sure yet if it's a Cedar Hill Event channel, or an SWRCC Event channel.

I dont think messed up is the right word for it. They are adjusting to the additional work load by using extra channels.
Also not all DFR units have made the switch over yet. Yesterday i heard i think engine 43 talking and he had muffled audio and a squelch tail when he stopped talking. But i will agree most units for DFR appear to NOT be using UHF anymore.

And of course, the reference to CH 4 was likely the knob position on the radios from the TG listing...

Channel 4 is DPD Southwest division.
NO, they are talking about DFR Channel 4. On their radios now
DFR 1 = Fire 1
DFR 2 = FIre 2
DFR 3 = EMS 1
DFR 4 = EMS 2
When they get a box they have the responding units give verbal updates on their UHF CH 4 the admin channel which is EMS 2 on the new trunked system. This is happening due to the computer system being down and all the verbal transmissions adding so much more radio traffic.
Then they are still using UHF CH 12 for fire ground ops.

DFR Fire 2 (MICU's) with the computers down reminds me of the OLD VHF channel when MICU's were 7xx assignments. "728 en-route to xxxxx LBJ need number or need T&I" It was non-stop Monday. Whoever the dispatcher was, he had it going on!
