My comment was responding to this:
"just be patient for a week or so. It's really not that big a deal."

Weekly Database updates are important to some of us, I travel to 4 areas regularly, and rely on these updates for business and personal information. That's part of the Uniden deal which was promised, and expected.
OK, thanks

What month is it?

HINT:
Look directly at the RR database for the area in question?
Is there green or yellow?

No changes = no problem...

There is an issue with this week's update. The IT guys are aware and are working on it.

This one is different from the occasional missed download in the recent past.

I check the database everyday to check if there have been any changes in my state and if not I don't even download the weekly update.

x36 and HP Sentinel working here. 5/12/22 dB.

You must have just missed it.

I bet those who were posting about the lost sleep are elated that they got an extra 4 days newer data on this week's dB.
Thanks Joe all good!

People who travel the entire country for a living like OTR truck drivers do depend on the weekly updates.
So, I agree for those types of users including yourself, the weekly database updates can be considered a big deal.
Not everyone sits in one place 24x7 that has very few or no updates.

OTOH, Uniden does do very well at making the weekly updates available on time. It's rather rare they are not ready for download into the two versions of Sentinel each Monday morning.

That's fine updating every week. But please help me understand why it's a "big" deal? What do you think you might miss if you don't update every week? I am being serious trying to understand.
I haven't updated in a few months. I just occasionally check the map on the RR database to see if anything has updated in the past week in my neck of the woods. If not, or if it's something I don't listen to, I don't bother updating. I feel like half the time I mess up my programming anyways. I get confused when I start getting all of those "xxxxxx is different on scanner" popups. I really wish it showed WHAT was different. I tend to make a lot of changes manually. Oh well

I used to update once a week. Still getting the "The remote server returned an error: 229 Extended Passive Mode Entered (|||3619|)" message. Old habits (updating weekly) die hard.

Are you using T-Mobile Home for your service provider? That sounds like the typical error message you get because T-Mobile is blocking port 21 for FTP downloads that Sentinel uses. A number of users are reporting problems with that.

The was no update yesterday for the HP1 and it isn't out there yet this morning. If you don't have an HP and/or don't bother to update then there is no need for a response. @JoeBearcat will get it resolved.
