DE 9600 trunk?

Anyone know if there is any likelihood that DE w/ change to 9600 baud in the near future (or of they could even do so w/ their equipment)? Have some great deals on a few 250d units....but am hesitant to purchase & add 'em to my collection, if DE may potentially shift away from 3600.

I don't see that happening anytime soon as State has taken a beating with over priced current 3600 Mot system and upgrading to 9600 system requires all new hardware etc.
State Politicians would not be happy with pouring more money into newer costlier system now.
I would say current system is good for quite a while but just my opinion.
You never know!

Thanks, Mark....I wasn't sure if some simple software upgrade might be all that prevents an upgrade to 9600. Good to hear such a change would be more involved.
