It's weird. I listen to the new system all day long on my Whistlers and Unidens, but for some reason TGID 3 with the tone was not received today on the Whistlers. The tone was blasting away on my SDS200, but my TRX-1 & TRX-2 were deaf. Everything else came through fine.

I'll check my programming tonight.
Were you ever able to look at the programming and find out why the Whistler didn't pick up TGID 3?

On my TRX-1, for the period from 20:00 on 6/19 to now, I had the following:

12 recordings of TGID 3 as a wildcard for a total of :42 seconds.
1 0:18 second recording of TGID 203

That's way off from what I normally record. They were all on the voice channel 772.38125 and control channel 771.95625.

All of the recordings were choppy, almost sounding like Morse code, even though they weren't. There was also some voice mixed in with the TGID 3 recordings.

I do not record the dispatch channel, TGID 160.

My programming looks good. I have wildcards for talkgroups and radio ids.

I wasn't monitoring anything today as I was busy with something else, so I don't know if there just wasn't much activity today or not. I'll have to keep an eye on it.

When I was listening to my SDS200 the day before, I was hearing the tone clearly, while the screens on the TRX-1 & TRX-2 were still scanning.

It could be this???

They may have all the sites online now and the LSM distortions may be affecting the Whistlers … I get some slight LSM issue from Mercy Fitz and Clifton sites being clise to my location I had to turn my one yagi more towards Clifton Site and it cleared it up with DSD plus decoding…

I'm glad that I own a SDS200. Now I just have to figure out how to record with it...Just another learning curve, but I'll get it. I have ProScan, so it should be easy enough.

I really like the recording capabilities of the Whistlers, though.
