Did you program in a wildcard talkgroup on the Whistlers since TG-3 isn't in the RRDB? (equivalent to ID search on the Unidens)The tone was blasting away on my SDS200, but my TRX-1 & TRX-2 were deaf. Everything else came through fine.

Were you ever able to look at the programming and find out why the Whistler didn't pick up TGID 3?It's weird. I listen to the new system all day long on my Whistlers and Unidens, but for some reason TGID 3 with the tone was not received today on the Whistlers. The tone was blasting away on my SDS200, but my TRX-1 & TRX-2 were deaf. Everything else came through fine.
I'll check my programming tonight.
Every frequency on the system is control channel capable. I'm sure 770.53125 will be utilized again in the futureWill you still be using the original control channel?
Textbook example of simulcast distortion, see the wiki link I gave you in post #556All of the recordings were choppy, almost sounding like Morse code, even though they weren't. There was also some voice mixed in with the TGID 3 recordings.
Hey Rich, If you're looking for the built-in recorder function...I'm glad that I own a SDS200. Now I just have to figure out how to record with it...
UID is synonymous with RID (unit vs radio) See Page 27 of this thread for a rough idea on how UIDs are broken downIs there a list of UIDs or RIDs
Thanks! I'll check it out when I get everything set up again.Hey Rich, If you're looking for the built-in recorder function...
More tone testing from TG-3 all afternoon today, had to temp avoid the TGConstant 1040Hz alert tone test on this TG now
Will you still be using the original control channel?
