Or even listened to one of the TWO feeds.
Technically, its now in "Burn in".
It sounds good so far! Hopefully there have been few hiccups in testing. When I hear all the testing going on and the nighttime drills at all the FDs, traffic late at night and early in the morning, I behind to appreciate just what a huge undertaking this whole process really is. Hopefully everything is still on track for a December switchover before the bad weather really sets in.

There's a rumor mill that the fire departments are on board with the December cut over but the FOP has their head up their @$$ about cutting over with only portable radios temporarily. It's like they don't realize that Philly police have not had mobile radios since the early 2000's or something... Anyway, there may be a delay because of that...

Wow I wonder how long it could take to get the mobile radios delivered, installed, tested and ready for use. Probably several months. Also AFAIK across the river, NJSP does not use mobiles in the patrol vehicles. My guess is the FOP is concerned with portable coverage? I don't know, I would think coverage is proving to be better than the legacy system. Maybe someone who is an officer can help us understand it a little better.

Field testing from Mercy Fitz Hospital to 47-90 (Darby Boro PD station) on PD Sector 4
84 PD units (Upper Chi) testing on PD Sector 1
Yeah that sound like a lot of what I have been hearing over the past couple months or so. Lots of testing on the FD and PD channels, it sounds like they are going inside just about every building in Delco and testing portable coverage. Also, one final note - for about the past month or so I have regularly heart Traffic 10 on the Fire Pol 1 channel. Have they officially migrated over to the new system for car to car communication?

I've been in the scanner hobby for 2 decades now, and the Delco P25 system is on par or slightly better than most, in terms of reception, from what I see. I was picking them up from Towamencin Township, Montco on a mobile APX7500 with the "tomato paste can" antenna on the trunk lid just last week. Delco Debbie was clear as day, despite having smoked too much lol

On a Unication I have copied transmissions from almost the 70/72 circle in Southampton, NJ to the parking lot of Shady Maple in eastern Lancaster County.

My home 20 eating pizza.
I get the reasoning in changing them but I’m still definitely not a fan of the shortened tone sets. But I’m also not a targeted user. I’m 6 counties away as the crow flies. If it flies drunkenly and mostly straight. So I only listen from afar and a couple times a year when I brave the Blue Route.

Other than that and a couple of the really creative pronunciations on the automated dispatches (Tacos McSicko instead of Tacos Mexico is my favorite, mmmmm tacos!!!!) the system sounds great in testing. In my travels through the area I’ve always struggled to pick up the current UHF system so I look forward to the day the switch is flipped so I’ll be able to catch a lot more.
