FYI

I spoke to an actual person this morning from radioshack.com as I wanted a better update on my order- a better update than it is "processing".

I ordered my 197 online on Thanksgiving at 0600. The gentleman told me it would be shipping tomorrow.(weds)

I ordered a Pro-106 on RadioShack.com as soon as the prices changed (which was around 11:45pm Thanksgiving Eve) and it, too, has been stuck in this "Item(s) located in stock" status since the day after Thanksgiving.

I called and spoke to a representative, and he said that he did not know when it would ship because "it was shipping from a corporate warehouse". He said he sent a message to that warehouse to email me directly with a ship date, but nothing so far. Apparently, the reps on the phones don't actually know the ship date, so I wouldn't hold my breath on any date a rep gives you.

What a disorganized mess. If this order ends up being cancelled or the item ends up being out of stock (even though I was probably one of the first ones with an order), I'm going to be very disappointed.

I was sent an e-mailed today that said my order was going to be delayed. Ordered a Pro-163 and 164 on Thanksgiving Day @8:00 am. I called them today and the woman told me she did not know what was going on.

the only thing i can figure out is there was so many orders that went in in a short amount of time they are trying to sort threw them all

I am in the same boat gentlemen , I think this is a little un-organized , but . . . . I am willing to wait. .. ... .. A couple of more days that is for them to ship it out. XD

The only emails I have received are the two initial emails (order received and order confirmed), and one reply to an earlier email that came in just a short while ago in reply to an email I sent earlier asking for a status. It was basically a boilerplate email that said it takes 1 to 3 days excluding holidays for the item to actually leave the warehouse.

If that is to be believed and if Friday was counted as a holiday, too, then tomorrow should be the last day of waiting. I guess we'll see.

I know how you guy's feel. I've ordered stuff on RS.com and still haven't gotten my stuff yet either along with some stuff on other sites I have ordered from from thanksgiving and black friday.

I pre-ordered from my local store (normally does not stock the item) and I got it today. It is well worth the wait!

I ordered mine at 08:00 Thanksgiving day, too. I called this morning and they said it would be shipped out today. No status change on their website yet.

Disorganized, you bet. Ordered my PRO-197 shortly after midnight on Wednesday/early Thursday. Order status has been showing "Located in stock". Waiting for an email giving me the tracking number. Guess what. FedEx tried to deliver it today, signature service requiring my signature. But, no was was home so they could not leave it and, according to the delivery tag stuck on my door, I could not ok delivery without my signature. Tag said they would try two more times. However, no one will be home then either. Called FedEx. They said that they could leave it at the closest Kinkos. All I needed to pick it up was the Tracking Number and ID. But, I don't have the Tracking Number. Called Radio Shack. Automated line gave same status as web. Got through to a Rep. He couldn't come up with a Tracking Number either. Said he would leave a priority message for the warehouse to call me tomorrow with the Tracking Number. He also said that the warehouse was having issues. Yeah, I'd say so. There is an old military term to cover this, FUBAR.

Be aware, RS ships these high dollar items FedEx, Signature Service. So, if you won't be home, make arrangements. FedEx does deliver on Saturday. But in my case, the third delivery try would be on Thursday. SOL.

There are some issues with the Web order system interface and the FedEx shipping system. Please be patient. Not sure which end the problem is on but Items are being shipped.

Received my Pro-197 order tonight (Tuesday) around 2000 CST via FedEx. RadioShack website still displayed that my order was still being processed. Order placed at 0545 on Friday morning and I really did not expect them this soon. So there is possibly a problem as KC5EIB stated.

Still waiting here as well folks. No FedEx door tags and no change in status, still stuck in "Items located in stock" No straight answer from the live reps as well.

I got my lazy butt out of bed at 3:30 Friday and was in line waiting at the Shack. Got mine that day. Sounds like you guys are having my kind of luck. If you have not had a digital scanner before, you are in for a treat. I love my 197.

As I said before, there is an issue with the interface between the order and shipping systems. It is also causing problems for us in the store as we are receiving "Ship to Store" items and can not check them in and notify the customer that the item(s) are ready for pick-up. I talked to support today and it is being worked on.

I'm pleased to announce that the Pro-106 I ordered late on Thanksgiving Eve has been delivered, despite the status still saying "Item(s) located in stock".

There is hope.
