BCD436HP/BCD536HP: Discovery Mode

I have my BCD436HP in Discovery mode and at the top the scanner is telling me P25 Standard. The system is a P25 Phase II, therefore, should the scanner be telling me something other than P25 Standard?

Phase 1 and Phase 2 are both effectively a P25 Standard. The radio should know if it's Phase 1 or Phase 2 but it sounds like Discovery doesn't go to that level of detail. It would make more sense having it say P25 Standard if that's what you'd program it as in the radio but that's not right either since the system would be programmed as "P25 Trunk". I guess consistency isn't all that important...:lol:

I wish Uniden would set the scanner up so when go into Discovery or Analyze mode would list the systems instead of having to input the systems.

Press the ENTER key and it will list any enabled systems. The more you input, the smaller the list.
