The new firmware will not update the firmware in my radio what do I do for that

Did you follow the directions from the zip file that you downloaded from the first post of this thread?

The file named: READ_ME_FOR_RC2_PASSWORD.txt has all the instructions. You must read every word and follow it exactly... step by step.

Please forgive me if this has already been answered. I searched and was not able to find an answer. I programmed a Connect Plus system in my area with beta Sentinel. Everything pretty much works/tracks perfectly. However, when it stops on a talkgroup, I can monitor just fine, I can see the slot number, TG number and unit ID. What I cannot see is the color code for any TG. I have TG search enabled in the individual frequencies. I am overlooking something or is this something that Connect Plus doesn't do? Thanks.

Hi.

Still no clear announcement on when the full version DMR upgrade will be released huh?

Sheldon.

Sheldon,
What did I tell you before? When Uniden is ready to announcement something you will see it here in the forums. Asking over and over and over again will not get you the firmware any faster.
DON'T ASK AGAIN. That is your last warning.

Sheldon..you made me LOL when I went back and read your previous posts. (laugh in a good way, not a sarcastic laugh)

I would say you are very persistent. I wish things in my life would be a little clearer at times. Have fun!:)

I wasn't making fun. Seriously. I've been the same way in younger days. Today I just try to have fun with what I have. I still haven't broke the news to my wife about my TRX-1 purchase. Now THAT will not be fun. Just like Beaver Cleaver, I will be learning a lesson!

When I was a kid my family would take long road trips. At least 10 times (well, maybe 20) per trip there would be a chorus from the back seat.

"Are we theeeere, yet?"
And, no matter how far away our destination, the answer was always the same:
"5 more minutes."

I was only asking just in case I missed it. Thats all. Yes I am a little too persistent for my own good somnetimes.

Sheldon.

The following are all just guesses, I have no insider information...

1. When the official firmware is released, it will have its own thread (just like each version of the preview release). I am betting that it will be even more prominently displayed so that the masses will know it is ready.

2. It will be a straight-forward update process done through Sentinel... almost identical to the ProVoice release. IOW, a public Sentinel release that will allow you to update to the latest firmware via the Update menu.

3. It will not be released to the masses until Uniden is satisfied that the code is as free of bugs as possible. There is no time frame on getting it right.

If you follow the pre-release forums closely, you can get a sense that the public release is drawing near. Since the firmware is in a Release Candidate status, the features and functionality are already set in stone. Uniden is just looking to fix any last minute bugs before the code is considered final.

I know That. My dad, mother, brother and me would be on long road trips, and the only time we stopped at a bathroom was when DAD had to go. If anyone else had to go, dad would be stopping "just a mile or two ahead." Right.

When the channels programmed as cap or con+, you set the color |n the programm|ng. you w|ll not see the cc wh|le scann|ng.

|f you were to enter a frequency as convent|onal, you would then see the |nfo you th|nk you are m|ss|ng.

sorry for us|ng the |, but my | key |s broken.

Thanks bhogg. But I'm still confused as to why Sentinel would give me the option to not only select a color code, but also to select the color code search. It seems that if I'm given the color code search option, the radio would detect same.
