Hello, beginner with my SDS 100e, is it possible to decode tier 3 with my device. The DMR, NXDN and pDMR options are enabled on my sds 100e. I am a beginner with this scanner. Thank you for your help.
Programming is not easy for me; I use registered ProScann.

Yes the sds100 US version works on DMR T3 very well as long as a few things are done correctly
1. Have the DRM Key entered.
2. Enter all used frequencies.
3. Enter all Frequencies LCN so the scanner has a channel map to follow.
4. Enter the UNECRYPTED TALKGROUPS you want to listen to.

Thank you for your answer.
But I have the SDS 100e version... and the right key for DMR.
Is this also ok?

It's ok. You have to try and collect all frequencies that a site are using and enter them in one site in a MotoTrbo system and then select to run LCN finder on them to be able to trunk track the system.

I would create a second OFT system and add all frequencies also in that system. Then when the LCN finder have found a couple of LCN then scan both the MotoTrbo and OFT system to see if you hear conversations that only can be heard in the OFT system. Then the LCN finder haven't figured out the LCNs properly or you have frequencies from several sites programmed into one site.

It helps if you can run DSDPlus to decode the control channel and get some LSNs from it and if you can find two control channels from two sites you can calculate, using the LCN calculator from RR, the base frequency and the LCNs that all your frequencies should use and program and see if the scanner tracks properly.

Hi!
i'm back on business, still working on that site.
This is what i got.
Would you program it as MotroboTrunk or DMRonefrequency on Sentinel?

The site only becomes trunked while there is voice transmission, not data

DMR One Frequency doesn't use LCN channel info and should monitor all calls as conventional from all frequencies entered as OFT. But in a previous post you mentioned that you couldn't hear anything when programmed as OFT. If you hear nothing then it is a RF problem, that you have issues to receive that frequency.

You will have to remember that SDS100 has a lot of spurious signals that mix with a received frequency and creates mirror frequencies that sounds like real DMR but cannot be decoded as it a false signal.

You really need to verify all frequencies by listening with another scanner, an analog one works fine, to check that a frequency are actually carrying a DMR signal. SDR dongles are pretty much the same when it comes to mirror frequencies but shouldn't happen at the exact same frequencies as a SDS100.

For your picture you have 155.918 and 155.920 as receive frequencies that should probably be 155.920MHz for both but are depending of if you have calibrated your SDR dongle frequency. The same goes for 161.900 and 161.903MHz. For 162.733 and 162.743MHz they are 10KHz apart and are too close to be used and are for sure one of them are a false positive being received. You'll have to verify the received frequencies using a "proper" receiver, or you will have problem to resolve this system.

That screenshot is not very telling. It seems to me this is a trunked system, and you are parked on a dedicated voice or data channel. You still need to provide some more info to determine if it is a trunked system or not, but based on the system ID and Network Model, it definitely sounds like a DMR TIII trunked system.

We really need screenshots of your main DSD event window, channel activity window, and FMPx window after you have detected some activity on the system for a while to determine what is really going on here. Then, we can figure out how to program it into the SDS and Sentinel.
